Struggling to get those ever popular HB Boxes?  Or just want to be more environmentally friendly?  These small boxes are the perfect replica.  Made from 300gsm quality thick card, laser printed with your logo and colour matched complimentary background they have slot together dividers to form the 8 cells within the box.  The boxes are pre-scored for easy folding and pop together easily, no gluing or sticking required!

As these are cardboard boxes and not see through you will need to stick these on the inside of the box in each cell underneath each melt.

Personalised cardboard box: what to check before you order a print run

A personalised cardboard box for wax melts works best when the print file is prepared around the cell layout. Each of the 8 cells is roughly the size of a standard clamshell melt, so keep logos and text away from the fold lines and the slots where the dividers sit. Leave about 5 mm clear of every score line, otherwise the print can crack when the box is folded.

Matt, uncoated card takes laser print well. Dark backgrounds look rich but show fingerprints, so lighter colours are the safer choice for boxes that get handled a lot.

Branded or plain: choosing a finish

Full colour printing suits brands with a strong palette. If you only need a neutral box and plan to add your own labels, plain cardboard keeps the cost down and lets you change designs between batches.

Gift ranges are a different case. A themed set, such as an 18th birthday box, relies on colour and metallic tones to do the work, so a custom logo is often secondary there.

Labelling and compliance

A printed logo does not replace hazard labelling. Wax melts sold in the UK need CLP information on the product, and the cardboard sits outside that. If you pack melts loose in the cells, put each label on the underside of the melt or on its wrapper. Guides on home and bargain style boxes usually suggest a rectangular label of about 50 x 30 mm, which leaves room for the warnings and a batch code.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many melts fit in one box?

Each box has 8 cells formed by the slot-in dividers, so it holds 8 standard melts, one per cell. Very thick or oversized melts may press against the walls, so check the cell size first.

Is 300gsm card strong enough for shipping?

It holds its shape well for light items like wax melts. For posting, slide the box into an outer mailer so the corners do not get crushed.

Do the boxes need glue or tape?

No. The card is pre-scored and the dividers slot together. Fold along the lines, push the panels into place and the box stays closed.

Can I use a different colour for the inside?

That depends on the printer, but most laser print runs colour the outside only. Plan on a plain interior and place a label or liner in each cell if you want a cleaner look.
